Many people tire of carrying out exercises in their own home. One of the primary reasons is because they don’t end up doing anything! It’s hard to get the motivation to work out at home if you don’t have exercise equipment or no one is pushing you to achieve anything.

If you go to the gym, however, there is always someone to help, as well as having access to many different pieces of gym equipment.

While you may feel self-conscious at first, especially if you have no idea how to use any of the “contraptions,” you’ll be taking selfies in front of gym mirrors in no time. Try out these exercises below, and if you want to give someone a black eye, number seven in particular.

1. Bodyweight Training

If you’ve just walked into the gym and have no idea how to use any of the gear, never fear! You don’t have to try them straight away. Instead, you can carry out exercises that don’t require any equipment, known as bodyweight training.

For a quarter of an hour, do some chair squats, walking lunges, incline push-ups, and even some crunches. Start with five of each for up to three sets before moving onto something else to do.
